About Mr Video

I'm back from Ireland and boy was it amazing. I was a guest speaker at Bernadette Doyle's "More Leads, More Clients, More Sales" seminar and the room was filled with people who were awesome business owners and action takers. I really enjoyed meeting the participants and teaching them all about video marketing.

Bernadette is an inspiring woman who has a 7-Figure business aimed at helping her clients attract the right customers. I can attest that she is someone to follow and study. You can find out more about Bern at http://clientmagnets.com (no video on her site YET but she is coming to our studios to film!)

One participant was so excited that she ran out and purchased a Flip camera. I've included her Tweet to show you her enthusiasm (which was contagious!) Jenny is a successful consultant who is just now embracing the power of video! Check her out at http://www.rock-solutions.com.

I did get to see some beautiful country views, meet up with old friends and even got to tip back a pint (or two) of Guinness! Great trip and many lessons learned. I'm off to D.C. and then Chicago. All my travel is falling in May it seems.

Stay Tuned...

VIDEO OF THE WEEK

Mr Video Says: "This is a video by my good friend Mike Dillard. What I especially love about this is that Mike uses video on just about every page in his sales process. In addition, there are no controls on the first video so as a visitor, your options are limited. I recommend opting in for the experience alone. Mike is a genius and this is one of the smoothest sales funnels I have ever seen. I can vouch for the series too. While designed for MLMers it is a highly effective course on driving traffic that anyone can take advantage of."

360º Branding

I love creating a Brand Strategy for companies and small businesses. My background in Advertising with Ogilvy & Mather allowed me to see that video is a key component to get your brand noticed and set apart from the crowd. I also quickly learned that video is a key component of an overall brand strategy.

Advertising vs. Marketing
Advertising is a tactic and Marketing is a strategy. "What's the difference?" you might ask. Well, think of a basketball game. A move called the pick and roll is a great tactic or play. A full court press is another tactic. A zone defense is yet another tactic. Combined together and executed at the correct times, these various tactics combine to form a solid Game Plan or Strategy.

Hub and Spoke
At the core of your business is your Brand Identity. The brand HUB is your essence, your key message and foundational products and or services. Your logo, your colors and your themes live here at the core of your brand. To be an effective brand, you need to send out spokes into the world. Little tentacles of good will and extensions of your brand. However, these need to be in ling and in concert with your core identity.

360º Branding
The more you put yourself and your brand "out there" the more you need to keep a tight reign on your brand. And, by leveraging your brand imaging, logos, and colors, you can begin to see some great return on your efforts. 360º Branding suggests that each touch point that you extend, both to the public and internally, be consistent. This allows you to develop a strong presence, recognizable images, and - by extension - trusted authority.

Move Toward Consistency
As I develop my own products and services, I find a need to be more consistent in my AskMrVideo brand. My touch points are Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn - the Fab Four. These social media platforms are fantastic places to continue the conversation with would be clients. Companies can customize the look of the profiles to some degree, but even more important is a consistent message and theme.

Think about your Brand as your good will ambassador to the many "nations" of commerce. Is your ambassador likable? Is it recognizable? Is it consistent? Does your blog reflect the same values and messages as your main site? Is your LinkedIn profile congruent with your Twitter profile?

Pay attention to your brand leverage every opportunity to be a good ambassador. You will be paid back in loyal customers that appreciate a trusted face in a crowded marketplace.
