Happy Father's Day!

Lots of goodies in this edition of my newsletter! Dads, hope your day is going great! As a dad myself, I'm heading with my son down to visit my Father-In-Law in Washington D.C. As you read this, we are most likely on an Amtrak train relaxin' and reflecting on all that transpired his Junior year.

I'll shoot some video as we travel and upload it to YouTube. YES I can now do that with my iPhone! Log into the forums to see that footage. In the meantime, take a look at the Video Of the Week below!

OK, Dads 'n Grads - go have some burgers and dogs and make opportunities to shoot some great footage.

VIDEO OF THE WEEK

Mr Video Says: "The new iPhone 3Gs is really remarkable. In addition to addressing some shortcomings (email search, Cut & Paste, etc) the folks at Apple added VIDEO! Here is my first iPhone video, shot at arm's length and uploaded to YouTube right from the iPhone itself. Two words: Game Changer!"

Three Video Ideas for Father's Day

It's Father's Day Today and I hope you get this newsletter in time to implement one of these ideas. Now, you might be thinking "It's Father's Day for crying out loud, I don't wanna WORK." Well neither do I so here are three easy-to-implement Video Tips that will be done in a snap yet last a lifetime.

Before I get started, I know all of us have had fathers and some of us have had them move on. Whether you ARE a dad, HAVE a dad, or HAD a dad, read on.

1) Send a video to your Dad: Make a video sharing what your dad has meant to you and if appropriate, share a tip or two about what biz lessons you learned from dear ole dad. My dad was a band director for my local High School. I learned a lot about practice, persistence, and patience while he taught hundreds of kids how to appreciate music. I take these skills with me when I teach my classes on video. I LOVE encouraging people to be their best and dad taught me that. Kids - tell your dad what you appreciate MOST about having him around!

2) Record a video to your child: If you are a dad, or dad to be, or a dad wannabe, film a short video to your son or daughter. Trust me, time FLYS and there is no better time than right now to shoot a video about how excited you are to be a Father. Share one tip that has helped you in your life walk. Also, share with your kids what YOUR father meant to YOU.

3) Wives, shoot a video to your hubby: I don't know what it is but there is something powerful about a personal message on video. Like I have been saying, video is Intimate, Immediate and Irresistible. Grab a Flip cam, a web cam or whatever cam you have around and tell that man in your life what he means to you. (Ladies, this will get you HUGE points).

Video Opt-In Machine 1.1

I know this section is usually for a review of other folks stuff, but I wanted to show off a little bit. My development team has put the final touches on the Video Opt-In Machine v 1.1 and I couldn't be PROUDER!

And NOW, The latest version of VOM is now part of your AMV experience! That's right, as many of you members already know you can get access to the VOM Wizard right here:
http://www.AskMrVideo.com/members/vom_wizard.cfm

What is the Video Opt-In Machine? Well, it's a cool video player that comes free with your AMV membership (for now). It plays back your videos and then automagically prompts your surprised viewers to sign up for your offer!

Now, with version 1.1 you can customize the end Opt-In box! There are multiple templates and colors to choose from. This makes the entire experience for the end user transparent AND sexy (if a video player can be sexy - I think it CAN!)

To see the help files for the VOM 1.1 wizard, I can give you non members of AMV a sneak peek here: http://www.askmrvideo.com/members/help-aweber.htm

By the way, the VOM 1.1 works with all major autoresponders including Aweber, Get Response, Autoresponse Plus, and 1ShoppingCart.

To see what all the hoohaa is all about, check out the example here:

This is just 1 example of the FIFTY (50) end box styles available!

Wheeew, thanks, I feel like a proud papa on Father's Day and I wanted to share with you all.
