About Mr Video

Perry Lawrence, Mark Thompson, and Blake Templeton at the
Putt-Putt course

I'm in Texas and having a BLAST with some amazing folks! The first part of the week Carrie Wilkerson (The Barefoot Executive), Paul Evans (Nicheology.com), and I were coaching a group of action takers. Paul and Carrie and I do this as part of our Big Game Plan coaching program. After that I stayed in Texas and am masterminding with the likes of Lewis Howes (author of Linked Working), James Wedmore (Reality Mastermind), Barry Chandler (ManageYourBar.com) and a bunch of other people who really inspire me and are a higher calling both personally and professionally (AND I got to hone my Putt-Putt skills!)

If you haven't yet seen the countdown, I am having a Christmas in July promotion! Everyone who is a member on July 25 will get some great gifts as a "Thank You" from me for all your support. Check out the blog for more details on the gifts and plans at http://www.AskMrVideoBlog.com

FEATURE ARTICLE

Giving Back

I recently did a promotion for my Video Magnetism course and as a side note, I earmarked some funds to help my friend Paul Evans support Stella's House, a half way home for young girls who are transitioning from orphanages to the real world. Paul runs a bunch of businesses and all help support 100XMissions.org.

Hanging out with Paul I have been amazed by his "Why" - why he does what he does. You can see one of Paul's "Why" videos we shot in at a Mexican Orphanage here: http://videomagnetsblog.com/?p=82

I thought some of you might also have a desire to give back and support a local, or international, cause and I realize that many of us have questions about how that can specifically impact our business, our community and our bottom line. But if you are like me, you are not sure of the best approaches and the best ways to communicate your efforts to your audience.

My friend Neil Fellows from Community Soul to the rescue!

Neil is an expert at helping companies - large and small - find ways to add a give back component to their business. Neil teaches people the ins and outs of giving as a corporate component and shows them that giving has so many merits and advantages. Neil is conducting a tele-training on Monday and I wanted you to be aware and take advantage of his expertise.

During this tele-training, Neil will specifically talk about mindset, and even if you already think you know all there is to know about mindset, if you haven't already achieved your biggest goals, you'll want to hear what he has to say.

Also on the call he'll talk about the system he and a group of other mentors with heart-based passions use to double their income and remain true to their ideals.

On the call Neil will show you:

  • The mindset that will sky-rocket your business and have an increasing queue of "ready for change" clients knocking on your door.

  • How you can make a BIG DIFFERENCE - even without a big marketing budget.

  • The 3 invisible obstacles that prevent entrepreneurs from making a bigger difference and earning what they deserve and how to blast them away.

  • How to ensure your business remains heart-work rather than hard work (even when the going gets tough and you get really busy).

  • The Golden rule every enlightened entrepreneur must follow and how to implement it and why 99.9% of struggling businesses will miss this step.

If you would like to get on Neil's tele-training, use this link:
http://www.communitysoulbusiness.com/askmrvideo.htm

I will be on the call as a student myself. I'm eager to continue to give back to my community and also to causes that I know have a great impact on other people's lives. I hope you can make the call.

VIDEO GEAR REVIEW

BluBrry PowerPress

WordPress in its default install configuration does not support podcasting at a level that most people need. The PowerPress Podcast Plugin has all of the elements needed to have your podcast RSS feed in complete compliance to obtain an iTunes listing, is optimized for listings in podcast directories and the Zune Marketplace.

The PowerPress Podcast plugin also includes a player that you can configure to appear on your blog posts so guests can listen/view your podcast episodes straight from your website. It should be noted that nearly half of people listen to podcast online versus through their portable media player.

The Powerpress Podcast Plugin has had a high level of Quality Assurance to ensure that all RSS Specification and Apple iTunes standards are met with flawless integration with WordPress Version 2.5 and greater.

I am currently incorporating this for my clients so they have a transparent integration with iTunes directory.

OH! Forgot to mention... It's free!
