VIDEO OF THE WEEK

Mr Video Says: "Wow, that's a HUGE knife Mr Schwarzenegger! I hope it helps with all the CUTS you are doing over in Cali! LOL. When even The 'Arnaould' gets into the Twitter act you KNOW it's main stream. Just another indicator that social 'media' is an amazing way to connect with your constituents."

FEATURE ARTICLE

Is 3D in your Video Future?

One article on 3D video is ho-hum news. Two articles on 3D video online is interesting. My friends over on ReelSEO have posted an interesting article about YouTube experimenting with 3D video.

"a Youtube engineer (Googler Pete), [has] been developing the capability to view videos on Youtube - in 3D with a stereoscopic player."

WAIT! You may be asking HOW DO YOU DO THAT???

The good folks at Mashable just put a tutorial online - Create YouTube Videos in 3D:

But Don't I need a Camera?? (Wow - LOTS of questions you have ;-)
Here is an article from the Mirror on a spiffy new camera that - YES - takes 3D video too!

"The price tag for the Real 3D W1 is still unconfirmed for the UK, but Stuff says we're talking in the ball park figure of £550. A large price yes, but with word that YouTube is providing stacks of stereoscopic options, it's suddenly much more appealing."

VIDEO GEAR REVIEW

I love twitter and I love what you can do with it. In 140 characters or less you can inform, teach, correct, and otherwise engage. NOW you can also SHOW.

TwitCam is a new free site by the maker of Livestream (Formerly Mogulus.com). Livestream heard that Ustream was working on a Twitter client and beat them to the punch using their own API.

I tried TwitCam as part of my Christmas In July Promo. I set it up on my laptop and used my built in webcam. Setup couldn't be easier. Just enter your Twitter id and pw and click Broadcast button and you are LIVE. TwitCam sends out a tweet with a link to the live show. Then, people (tweeple?) can come and watch an if they choose, can log in to TwitCam and chat. The cool part is that the chat goes live to Twitter!

The show gets recorded as you broadcast and is available after archiving. The chats get saved as well! Very cool. Plus, you can embed the player and chat into your own site!

I'd love it if you could add a hashtag to each chat-tweet. That would help people know what you are doing so you wouldn't have to keep RT the show link. Also, after 2+ hours, the show STILL had not been rendered and made available for replay. Hopefully by the time you get this is has. Check out my Live Show here: http://twitcam.com/64b

Update: I did another show and it got archived MUCH faster (in an hour or so). Check it out here: http://twitcam.com/845
