Man a LOT has been happening over the videoshpere. But first lemme tell
you what the Mr Video Family has going on. Jr Video is GRADUATING!
Wahooo he is a senior and is counting down the HOURS until he is done
with school (at least this phase of school). He is in the middle of
Lacrosse Tournaments and I am filming some of his games for a banquet
later next month. I like this kind of filming because it allows me to
experiment, be creative, and make my kind of film.
Also this month Main Line Interactive (my company) is expanding into a
new studio space. While I love being able to work out of my home office
producing, I need some space to film my clients. I had been renting out
studio space but the time is here when my own studio makes economic
sense.
Growing pains - gotta love em!
I remember when Jr Video was growing an inch a month. He grew so fast
that he had serious growing pains in his knees. The rapid growth of your
business can yield similar pains too. Cash flow, time commitment,
payroll, taxes, all are part of the growth of your biz. It's a healthy
pain. Embrace it and be encouraged that you are growing!
Document everything!
I'm documenting Lacrosse games, new biz development, and new gear that
I'm learning about. One of my new sites can be found here:
http://www.T2iFilmSchool.com. On this
site I am journaling my progress with some new HDLSR gear that I am
using. It's a TOTAL departure from the way I am used to working and yet
I am having a blast making a bunch of mistakes. No Pain, No Gain.
This month on the blog we have been focusing on Video Blogging. Video
blogging is easy, affordable (both time and money wise), and POWERFULLY
EFFECTIVE. Many members of AskMrVideo.com have built their own web tv
channel and are now building audience share, affinity, and trust with
their constituents.
The Video Apprentice
I am super excited about a new program that I'm launching called The
Video Apprentice. I'll be taking on 5 people and training them in all
the skills needed to have a super successful video business. I'll be
sharing more about this over the next few weeks. So...
Stay Tuned...

FEATURE ARTICLE
Embedding a Video on Your Blog
You've accepted the challenge and have created videos. However, you are
at a loss of how to share them with your friends or readers of your
blog. To share your videos on your blog, you will have to embed the
videos from the platform you chose to upload your video. Sounds
difficult but it truly isn't; with some practice you will be sharing
videos right away.
If you upload your video to YouTube, you will notice on the bottom part
of your video an area to share. I will show a graphic below that points
out the area that you will look for on YouTube for the embed code.
YouTube has also made it possible to share your videos on different
social media platforms and also shares a link for you to post in your
emails.
This is simply an example. YouTube has made it easy to copy your embed
code. Follow these simple steps:
- Go to your account
- Go to the 'your videos' section
- Choose the video you want to share on your blog
- Below the video is a button that reads <embed> click on that button
- There will be options for sizes and colors
- Copy that code
- Go to your blog, if Wordpress go to your dashboard, start a new post,
click on html option
- Paste the embed code and you're done
This may sound complicated but once you do it more than once you will
find that it is not difficult at all. It is important to paste the embed
code on the html version of your page.
So, these were some easy steps, now it's your turn. Embed your video to
your site and share the link to your post below for all to see. Sharing
videos on your site is fun!

VIDEO GEAR REVIEW

Start Video Blogging
This Weekend
I know some may think it bad form to review one's own product but hey, I
haven't seen another product on the market that gets you up and running
with your very own Direct to Web TV Show AND gets you listed on iTunes
AND gives you info on how to get your very own iPhone / Android app
built for a FRACTION of the cost.
So, I'll refrain ;-)
I'll let me friend David Frey from Marketing Best Practices give you his
impressions of the program:
If you listened to David say "Positioning yourself as an expert and a
professional is one of the most important things you can do when you
start your business. One of the best ways to do that is to start you own
online television show" then you know this is the program for you!
Click here to read all about the program, what's included, and what you
can accomplish having your own new television show up and running:
