Tip: TokBox, SightSpeed & New Releases

Printer-Friendly Format

First an apology, I knew my host provider was going to upgrade me to the latest version of CF (ColdFusion) on Monday night.

I had assumed it would all go smoothly and that no one would notice. Wrong! I got a lot of emails saying there were problems and I spent the morning sorting out all the issues.

I should have let everyone know that there was going to be a service outage. I apologize for any inconvenience. There will be a brief upgrade on the 21st - just a heads up ;-)

Thanks so much to everyone who alerted me to the issues.

You may know that I have a brother in Hawaii and a Sister in Turkey and we are all about finding new ways to communicate and keep up with each other. I'm alo always on the lookout for easy to use video tools for my online websites. These two video IM products help by making it easy to have instant video chats.

SightSpeed is a Video & Voice call center that allows you to communicate with other SightSpeed users. With SightSpeed you can set up a one to one call, one to many call or many to many call (called Multi-Party).

In addition to video IMing you can record the video call and save it or post to a blog. You can also easily record and send via email. The nice thing about SightSpeed is that the quality is outstanding and it just works well.

If you want to give it a whirl, look me up. My user name is askmrvideo (natch!).

Next up is TokBox. The nicest thing about TokBox is that it requires no installation - just log in and host an instant video chat and invite friends. TokBox gives you an embed code for your player (WAY cool) and a link to your page. Here's my page http://www.tokbox.com/askmrvideo

The ability to set up a streaming video chat and embed into a web page is very handy, especially since you need zero software installed.

Check out my embedded player here:

If I'm available, let's chat!

TokBox could be used for customer service, product support, interviews and where ever you need instant easy video.

I will be releasing a Video FAQ player this week, free to all members. This FAQ player was developed by my friend Vito over at Netasis.com. Netasis produces these very professional video FAQs and now you can all have access to this very powerful technology to create and display your own Video FAQs, Video Testimonials, Video Books, and any kind of sequential video you want. The best part (besides free for members) is that you can brand it however you want. It's really easy to set up and use. I hope you will like it.

Another video goody coming out in the next week or so is still in beta tests but doing well. It's another product aimed at making video easy to integrate into your online business.

I hope you enjoy these weekly video tips as much as I enjoy finding new and exciting (and useful) video products to tell you about.

Stay Tuned...
Perry
