"   "People On Your Page" by Perry Lawrence Since I added my little walk-on-video character to my page, I have had a steady stream of people want to know how to do the same thing. I have posted a bunch of tutorials and many people have been able to do the same thing on their sites. Many others have been able to launch successful web companies using the techniques I have taught them. Unfortunately, it's a bit of a hack to get the code right, the playlist right, the java script right, and get it all embedded correctly. So, it is still out of reach for some who really want the effect but want an easy way to implement it. So I created People On Your Page - "Put People Where You Want Them". POYP will allow you to put your clip on any page in under 5 minutes... (wait for it...) for FREE. I am demoing the technology at Yanik Silver's Underground Seminar this weekend! POYP will allow you to have multiple clips, multiple playlists, and manage your clips via a friendly and simple UI. Just paste the code into any site and you have a walk on video clip. I like the tag line - "Put People Where You Want Them". With these walk on clips you can interact with and direct your visitors and tell them what you want them to do next. Sign up, take a tour, press this button, go here. A live person on the page is better than text and audio. It's the perfect way to "step into the picture" and help a customer along or give a friendly reminder. And, with POYP you can actually put people where you want them - literally! What makes eyespot so nice is that you can actually upload and remix video via the browser. But that's not all. Scroll down on the front page of eyespot.com and click on Partner with us. This will take you to a sign up page where you can actually use their technology on your own site! I am looking for a tool to extract the movie from a DVD - I hve my videos on a DVD - of my seminars etc. but I want to extract them and cut into 10 minute or so segments. Does Sony do that? If so - do you have anything that shows how to do that? I have tried a lot of methods like changing the DVD extension to wmv but I can't get it to work right to cut or convert to FLV. Is there a simple DVD extractor? If Sony Vegas does it great - if you have anything that shows how - Priceless! Thanks guy - see you at Yanic's. In Vegas 8 you can go to: File>Import> DVD Camcorder Disc Then select your DVD and Destination. Once digitized to your HD you can use it like regular footage. Easy!
