Hi Perry! There's a lot of biz about viral videos recently and I would love to know how YOU would do something like this:
http://www.youregonnamissthis.com/
What type of software would you use to create this? Vegas? Movie Studio? Camtasia? Something else?
The author says she uses a "flash programmer" to create this for her after she pics the pictures and music.
But how would YOU do it?
Thanks.

Rich, I'd do it using SwishMax http://www.swishzone.com or hire someone on elance to do it if I needed something custom.
I'd get my images from iStockphoto.com
I'm working on something similar but with video. I'm doing that in AfterEffects.
Any video editing program can do this, Vegas etc. However using a Flash based program like Flash, Swish, or similar will keep the graphics and text crisp since they keep the vector based shapes and don't convert to "video".
Check out Swish and also some of the other programs swishzone offers.

Keynote could do this

Or PowerPoint and Camtasia:

WAY too long but you get the idea. Text looks crisp.

Oh... YES... I can do this pretty easy in Camtasia 5 and Powerpoint 2003. What size do you think I should make the pics?

Since not much going on, you could get away with 800x600!

Thanks Perry! I have SwishMax - I just have to figure out how to use it for this...lol!
I guess after you do it once, then you can actually have yourself a template.

But I wonder how much it herds his SEO that there is absolutely no content on this main page and no links for the search engine to follow?

The YourGonnaMissThis site is not intended for SEO - it is strictly for affiliate marketing. I'll see if I can get Terry to comment on his approach and who he used.

Hi guys - Terry Wygal here - Happy Mothers Day - just spent a great day with my mom and step mom and wife - so it was all around a super day.
To the movie - I am not sure I can take much credit other than giving a lot of background.
The video concept was created by The Barefoot Exectutve Carrie Wilkerson and her husband Eddie - the same couple that create www.TheBossMovie.com
It was not meant at all to be a SEO page but rather a place to catch the herd if you will.
I wanted it to speak to my crowd and my audience. It does just that.
I will use the video outside that page in an FLV or wav format with a link tot he page I want it to go to - then I will use it to promote my site - but www.youregonnamissthis.com is one where I am driving traffic straight to it.
After the movie finishes it takes it to an opt in page - similar to the one that Perry has - or is - creating. Perry's program he is developing does something very similar - but for this application I chose to use what Carrie created.
I cannot speak to the flash - but yes it is off of stock photos and a very talented couple and then the tech guy who put it all together.
It could certainly be done by a Camtasia and Power Point - but I just did not have the talent they do.
I will take the FLV or WAV format and submit it to several sites so that it becomes Viral - I will have to create Title Clip at the end so it sends them to the right page I want them to go to...
I am in the process of rolling out a real estate training program next week and I wanted to try something different for the people I am doing the JV with for the call.
After that the squeeze page will be for my main membership site.
I will say this - from what I learned here at www.askmrvideo.com and Perry I could have tried to learn how to do all of this - but the business side of me said for me to get the right concept down - and then beg for help
:-)
Perry and Carrie gave me the focus of what needed to be done - Carrie and Eddie Wilkerson brought it together in the perfect setting.
