2007 - Web 2.0 Tools I use Daily
By Mr Video

Here is a list of web tools I use daily to get my work done.
Google.com/ig: I love Google's personalized home page. I have added rss feeds, calendar, favorite links, note pad, to-do list and a host of other widgets. It's the first thing I see on the web every morning.
Google Docs: I use the shareable spreadsheet and docs to collaborate with clients and associates.
Gmail: Great features, massive storage, tags and free!
Joomla: I use this for rapid development of mini sites. Great CMS.
MemberGate: Best Commercial CMS on the market.
Firefox: Fantastic Browser. Great plug-ins available. Current fav plug-in is Googel Browser Sync.
Amazon S3: File host
HeyWatch: Video file conversion. From anything to anything.
Skype: I use this to communicate with clients, associates, my sister in Turkey and for recording interviews. Awesome.
I'll share some of the websites I visit on a daily basis tomorrow. Got anything you'd like to add? Post a comment.

How many cameramen/women does it take to film a music video?

Fans of the band The Shins shot video on their cellphones and uploaded over 200 clips to help make the band's latest music video.

Grainy, but with some nice editing touches, this is user generated content at its finest most creative most collaborative. Check out Phantom Limb by The Shins.

Is this a good thing?

We haven't launched yet but people are wanting to get in! I left the join page active and people are trying to give me their credit card already. I made the change so people don't get frustrated but I can only think that this is a good thing!

Site is coming together!

Well I've been busy putting the site together and gathering up all the content and articles. It's very rewarding to see this take shape. I'm confident that the quality of the articles and the downloads will make the site a great value for those wanting to use video to boost their sales and communicate more effectively with their customers.

New ideas keep popping into my head every day. The frameless video player is a product that will have a very long life and have lots of great features. I can't wait to show off that one (there's a sneak peek on the home page).

I found a video hosting site and related tools that will give video producers the edge when it comes to providing high quality video to their customers. This site hosts for pennies and is super robust and secure.

As 2006 comes to a close, I am looking forward to 2007 and all it promises. New sites, new deals, new projects and lots of new friends. I'm very excited to be developing this new site for video profits and I know it will be a success. Here's wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas and a fantastic New Year.
