Same Day Edits (SDE) is a great added value for your clients. The initial results for Maverick Business Adventures was a HUGE success. In less than 8 hours after the event members were distributing photos and videos across the net.
Same Day Edits are nothing new, but combined with a Flip Camera and a USB drive you can deliver added value for any event.
On the latest outing of Maverick Business Adventures I tried out my idea for delivering photos and videos of the trip on a custom USB drive. I wanted to put memories in the hands of participants immediately so they could share with friends and family.
We handed out Flip cameras (with water proof housings) to members and each night I collected the cameras and downloaded the files to my laptop. I then erased the files from the cameras and re issued them the next day. I gave zero instruction to users! They just pointed and shot!
I also collected photos from participants - I collected over 1000 images.
The night before the closing ceremony I edited a short (3 minute) video to the theme from Deliverance - you know, Dueling Banjos. I then transfered the video, a video of the next event and the best of photos to the thumb drives.
The results were spectacular! Not only did participants share the photos and videos from the USB drive, but they also posted to their favorite social networking sites. Photos and videos of the event are now on YouTube, FaceBook and being talked about on Twitter and MySpace.

The immediacy of giving your event participants "shareable memories" is huge. They can show their experience and share with friends and family as soon as they return. The added bonus is that your event gets promoted immediately with all the passion and excitement of the event itself.
