Help with GetResponse
1. Select Service Provider
Dropdown to select a different service provider. (Aweber, GetResponse, AutoResponse Plus, 1ShoppingCart, Others). [ back to top ]
2. Form Caption
This will appear as the Title for your opt-in form. Try to keep this short so as to fit the width of the form player. [ back to top ]
3. List Name
Name / Subscriber ID provided by GetResponse to identify the list associated with your opt-in form. [ back to top ]
4. Thank You Page URL
URL to redirect to after successful sign up using the opt-in form. This could be your Thank You page, thanking the user for signing up as well as to provide any further information post sign up. Default GetResponse page will be loaded If you leave this text box blank. [ back to top ]
4a. New Window / Same Window
This helps to decide whether the 'Thank You' page URL and the 'Already On List' URL open in a new browser window or the same window where your opt-in form is. [ back to top ]
5. Reference Code
If you have several websites, the reference code or the REF tracking number will let you verify which one generates the most sign ups. REF is a 3 digit code that can be assigned to a capture form placed on your site. A visitor to your site will have such REF number assigned automatically on submitting their data. It will be listed along with all other details of your recipients so you will be able to look up all subscribers with the same number easily. [ back to top ]
6. Error Page URL
URL to redirect to if an error occurs while signing up using the opt-in form. This could be a page which gives information on what to do if an error occured. Default GetResponse error page will be loaded If you leave this text box blank. [ back to top ]
7. Forward Variables to 'Thank You' Page (check box)
If you have mentioned a 'Thank You' page to redirect to, and you have a system in place to process the information you collected (name, email ID) , GetResponse can pass on the information to your Thank You page. This may be used to personalize your Thank You page. [ back to top ]
8. Image URL
This allows you to place an image of your choice as the starting screen if the 'Auto Play' is disabled. [ back to top ]
9. Video Path
The absolute path to the video file (only FLV format is supported). You may use multiple video URLs which will be played in sequence. When you enter multiple URLs, separate them with a coma ( , ) but make sure you do not leave any space between the URLs and comas. [ back to top ]
10. Auto Play
Checking this box will auto play the video. If this check box is is unchecked auto play will be disabled and the user will have to press 'play' button on the player to start playing the video. [ back to top ]
11. Player Width and Height
This determines the width and height of your opt-in video player. The default values are 300px width and 250 px height. [ back to top ]
12. Generate button
Click this button to finally generate the embed code containing all the parameters you entered in the wizard. The code will appear in the box just below the 'generate' button (14). [ back to top ]
13. Embed Code Container box
Your opt-in form embed code appears here as soon as you click the 'generate' button (13). Now, you have to copy and paste the entire code into your HTML to get the VOM video opt-in form working on your webpage. [ back to top ]
14. Customize
Customize button opens a pop-up window with options to select 'Styles' and 'Themes' for your form. [ back to top ]
